Is home training under valued?

In recent years during the COVID-19 global pandemic, it became increasingly popular to invest in home exercise equipment and workouts. But why? What are the benefits of exercising at home, and why might it be worth the investment even now in 2023?

First and foremost, having training equipment at home can be a major time-saver. Rather than needing to drive to the gym or wait for equipment to become available, you can work out at a time that fits your schedule. This can be especially valuable for those with busy professional or family lives, as it can be difficult to find time to travel to a gym regularly. In addition, investing in home training equipment can be a cost-effective investment over time. While the initial cost of purchasing equipment may be higher than paying for a gym membership, over time, the costs will level out. Plus, owning equipment means that you'll be able to use it for years to come, rather than needing to continually pay for a gym membership or limited-time class passes.

But beyond just saving time and money, there are a host of other benefits associated with working out and training at home:

  • Greater customization and flexibility: When you're working out at home, you have full control over the types of workouts you do and the frequency and duration of those workouts. This means you can customize your training plan around your lifestyle to suit your goals and preferences - something that may not be possible in a gym setting.

  • Improved privacy and comfort: For some, working out in a public gym can be uncomfortable or even anxiety-inducing. By investing in home equipment, you create a safe, private environment where you're free to work out as you please.

  • Consistency and accountability: With the gym, it's easy to let other obligations or excuses take priority over your workouts. However when you're working out at home, you're more likely to stick to a consistent routine since you don't need to travel or leave the house. Plus, with the investment you've made in equipment, you'll feel more accountable to yourself to use it regularly. Because no one likes wasting money right?

All of these benefits can add up to a major improvement in both physical and mental wellbeing, ultimately helping you create a healthier, more fulfilling lifestyle. During COVID-19 i invested in a indoor bike which i have used minimum 3 times a week for the past 3 years. To this date it is probably the best investment i’ve made! So if you're thinking about investing in home training equipment, don't hesitate - it just might change your life for the better!
